wide pole piece spacing or rails?

Post by mike_s »

so I built a 9 string guitar with a wide neck, and made a wide bridge to suit. Sadly I forgot to factor in wide pole spacing, so I now have the bass pickup poles not even close :-( I figure I probably need to replace with 7-string rail type pickups like https://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/pi ... ngle-coil# . I'm still after a traditional strat type of sound - any suggestions?

First thing that comes to mind is bill lawrence rail types, but I'm not sure if they offer a 7 string model.
