I found a sound sample but to me everyone of the samples of all the pickups sound the same. I wanted to try and find our if anyone here had a set of these pickups or the same but already in their guitar. I have never played an original set of PAF pickups, these are suppose to be as close as you can get and getting very hard to find a set. I was actually looking for a certain LP and it just happened to come with these pups.

There won't be any Shaw pups in NZ I'm betting as we weren't getting LP Standards into the country in the early to mid '80s when these were put into/used in some of the gats produced back then.
Search out some Timbuckers on ebay.If you want the 50s PAF sound at a fraction of the price these are the best of the clones. These are also becoming rarer though as they like the Shaws are also no longer made.
Doin' that scrapyard thing.
