p90s.... heavier music styles?

Post by danrawkz »

are there any p90 models that can do heavier music styles? as in, hardcore, punk, metal etc?

i've got my eyes on a epiphone '56 LP goldtop (I like the guitar itself), but they come with p90's you see..

The SD Hot and Custom P90s are ballsy as, but being true single coils, they can be a bit noisy with uber gain.
Dimarzio do a bunch of P90 sized humbuckers like the DLX, P90 Super Distorion and Tone Zone P90. They're much more suitable for metal.

PM me if you want more details.
