Any ideas on getting a bass sound out of the E & A strings of a six-string while still getting a normal sound out of the rest? EQ? separate little pickups?

What amp are you using? What sort of guitar?
Dial the Bass down to 1 and the treble up to 9?

It's a Strat into a Rockit 130 watt valve amp.
I'd probably get what I'm after by using an EQ and really bump up a bass freguenvy or two
