Just more so the lead, and I wouldn't trade my wah pedal for anything now, took 10yrs to settle on this one, couldn't imagine another 10 looking again lol.

Boost pedal will seem to be the best option, I just really don't wana spend hundreds, already have those discussions with the wife about my "expensive" hobby that doesn't pay for itself lol
This is probably just going to complicate things too much, but my suggestion would be to sell the amp, get a few really nice pedals and a LR Baggs Para DI (or similar).

Re: your wife's "discussions", why not do a few covers gigs under a different name? It's easy money (especially if you do it acoustic...especially with a rig that consists of a few pedals and a DI) and can sustain your gear purchasing addiction. Keeps your chops fresh too.

So in summary, take everything that you do now and do it completely differently because some guy on the internet told you to.

No I can't sell my amp, I just got it a few months back lol....hm covers band...thought about that also. I like the idea of listening to someone on the net tho :lolno:
Scooter13 wrote:If you only need the volume boost when you use the wah, there's a real simple mod you can do to a Wah to give a volume boost when it's on. Replace a particular resistor with a lower value one. Probably your cheapest option, and completely reversible if you don't like the result.

Yer but I don't always use wah for lead breaks...so that could complicate things again

Look out on trademe for a boss SD-1 or BD-2. Either will work great as a boost?

Also check out the Danelectro FAB pedals - $49. They do an overdrive, turn the gain down and you're away laughing.

Or this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/music-instrume ... 051891.htm

Better EQ for acoustic and also you can blend the OD with the clean. Maybe I should buy it?

If you're gonna go down the Boss route, surely the GE7 sopachrga suggested is the best option.

Ryan has a Modtone Clean Boost pedal on TM for $89. Sounds like what you're after.

And the McPherson Eco Boost is $109. No power required. That could be cool.

Mostly for the blend function. You could have your normal acoustic tone blended 50% with a big fat dark tone. Would be sweet for solos! I'm seriously thinking of buying one myself.

I don't get this comment tho

But………..there is a catch.
To function correctly this unit must be driven from a low impedance source.
In other words directly from an active guitar or after a buffered bypass pedal in your signal chain.
