Gimicky my arse. It's beautiful, and as you say, fantastic sounding wah. I didn't think you could tell much difference between wahs until I used the handwired. Beautiful sounding.

Yes. If you play on carpet, not much good. If you have a pedal board you want to strap it to, not much good. If you want to run over it with a car. Fucking brilliant.
Go look on ebay, get a hendrix wah special.(red face plate model)..best wah's ever, and i've had many.... you get something cheap n nasty, you'll only want more...the gc's r meh, old morleys suck, vox's tho are very good, early models
Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage
Mmmm that being unable to mount to a pedalboard issue seemed like madness, no good on carpet either is a killer for me, must check out the handwired online
Out of interest, does anyone make a wah that is sprung so it pops back up when you let off pressure on it?

I like mine! For me the fact that it's so tiny is both a good and bad thing. Good because it fits on my self-enforced tiny pedalboard, bad because you can't operate it in a traditional way, and I can't do my badass Slash soloing pose during Sweet Child O' Mine without physically leaning/stepping on a wah pedal
It reminds me quite a lot of the Morley optical wahs. You can get a really versatile, vocal sound, but to me I feel like it lacks the warmth of a good old fashioned Fasel inductored Crybaby. I don't quite know if I'm imagining that part or not, though.
Yeah, I really dig it. I love how snarly and dirty it can be. I don't really use wah that much although it works pornographically well in my current band.

hellbabe
Yeah, once modded I love those buggers
ooh whats the mod you do????....all I have done is thinned down the rocking part to get a bit more travel (not really sure if it actually did anything but I like to think it did)
If Less is More Then Just Think How Much More More would be

I'm just glad to find out that I'm not the only one who does this. I even do solos like that where I don't even use the wah pedal.
Haha of course dude, so do I... it's the Slash heritage In fact at my last gig when I realized I couldn't do that without using the wah... I just ditched the wah in that part of the solo and did it anyway. Crowd loved it, and everyone was too smashed to realize I didn't use a wah anyway.
So... I ended up with an AMT Japanese Girl wah, very pleased with it, has the sweep and sound I wanted, and is smaller than a boss pedal, true bypass, and purple for Rog Fits nicely on my PT JR too.....
