If you want something more tweakable, the Maxon FE10 might be cool. They added a sweepable mids control to it.

Re: Univox Super-Fuzz alternative
I made a couple of slightly modified clones back in the day and called them the "dark horse" (s)... the super-fuzz is a weird beast with a slight octave up and that fixed tonestack that scoops the mids... Keeley's Fuzz Head is actually schematically in the ball park (minus the tone-stack plus diode options...)
Re: Univox Super-Fuzz alternative
Oh yeah, I forgot, it also goes by another name; the "Acetone FuzzMaster" the fixed tone stack (in both) is identical to the silicon shin-ei fuzz, which I think was made famous more recently (not that recently) by Radiohead amongst others...

Re: Univox Super-Fuzz alternative
You guys have to check out the Wattson pedals. They do the most highly praised clone of the Shin-Ei fuzz. Their FY-6 is a direct clone, and their EFY-6 allows you to dial out the octave, to make chords sound less slushy. They're extremely hard to find in stock though.
