A Vintage Guitar interview from 1995. Talks a bit about guitars and amps.

Re: RIP BB :'(
he was one of a kind alright, I liked him most when playing in front of a big band. I had a jam to lots of his stuff earlier and I'm still floored by the odd note which just had 'it'. He was not a flash guitarist by todays standards, or yesterdays standards, but he paved the way. Sadly the three kings are dead. G'night riley king. thrills gone.

this is it for me.Bg wrote:I'm still floored by the odd note which just had 'it'.
He does those bends in solos that make your jaw drop, then you play the same note, same bend, sounds flat and lifeless.
Tone is in the fingers

BB was a legend, I'm soaking up a lot of stuff by him right now and can't get enough of his playing.
I got into his music when I was a teenager; my Dad had a lot of his stuff on vinyl so I was listening to guys like BB, Albert & Freddie before I even knew who they were. He will be greatly missed by man, RIP.
