Cheap Chinese Strings
Needed a set of strings for my spare RG350 that I'm going to flick off shortly, don't want to spend much money on it so am trying a set of "Ziko" strings from http://www.guitarstuff.co.nz/
They're pretty inexpensive at $4.25 for a set, and am interested to see how good (bad?!??!?!) they are, will certainly be interesting!

Re: Cheap Chinese Strings
I bought some Fender branded stings off a dude that was not happy with them.
Too dis-similar to what he deemed his normal 10s - which were Fenders.
When I got the strings and noticed the packaging, they were all Chinese rip offs.
And they were awful.
Hopeful not an indication of Ziko!

I usually just buy from Amazon, if you buy them in 10 packs you can normally get them for under $5 (USD) a set.

I bought some cheap chinese Cello strings. Utter shite. Then I got some decent one which was good in terms on tone and frightening in terms of the $150 they cost!

Re: Cheap Chinese Strings
I'm mostly intrigued to see how crappy they are, it's highly doubtful they'd be good enough to sway me away from elixirs and they don't do them in my gauge anyway

Well there you go. I'll get them there on the future then. I spent $16 or maybe $18 for some Ernie Balls at the local shop and decided to go online. Thanks.

Re: Cheap Chinese Strings
Bought another ten-box today. $80. Been hovering between 10s and 11s. Today went with a D'Addario box that spans the two. Unwound are as per a pack of 10s and wound get nice and beefy.
How those Chinese ones going? All snapped yet?
