for a long time I just used a crybaby,a delay unit into a Marshall head.
When I started doing the coversong routine I decided I should get more effects .I decided on Gmajor which its effects range from excellent to ok depending. One thing I like about it is I can program it to change channels with effects simultanously.

I currently can't make my mind up. I love multi-fx for their convenience and things I just can't do with outboard fx (blending and stuff). But I don't like the cold, harsh digital-ness of them.
I'm currently using both, a Zoom GFX-8 with a SD-1, CH-1, CS-3 and cusack screamer in the zoom's fx loop.

So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
I too am interested in multi-effects boxes BUT only in the echo, chorus and delay departments i.e something that does these functions rather well. I use other boxes for distortion/wah etc. so those are not criticsal/needed/can be average.
Any reccomendations? used about the $150-200 mark is what I'm looking at.

You can't do THAT on stage!

On other boards, I've read comments from tube Nazis that using ANY effectors on a tube amp is akin to heresey and that all such users should be emasculated to protect the gene pool.
These are (of course) overseas-based forums .... I expect far better from Kiwis.
Tube Nazis get VERY boring, very quickly, as do any fanatics.

He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

i jumped on ebay.com.au and picked up a very new looking one (still in box etc) for $250 shipped to my door. if you follow my steps there are a lot of aus retailers selling them for a similar price and they won't have had years of use unlike the trademe ones usually have.
