I haven’t tried those but I do think that folks fail to properly appreciate the utility and importance of the pick. You know, the thing that actually causes the majority of our sounds.

Um, most of them are a Jazz III?

The "custom bevel" is going to last how long?

Also the bevel is caused by your own technique so I don't see the purpose of using a pick with someone elses bevel on it.

They're made outta ultex, have you tried that stuff? you can pick scrape all day long and they don't wear!

I've ordered some of the animals as leaders .73mm ones off ebay (since thats the gauge I play and AAL rule...) will report back once they arrive!

I use a 50c coin. The thickness can vary a little; some of the earlier 2006 coins are a little thinner than the current ones and I prefer these.
