Well, bizarrely some of you guys wanted instructional clips about picking ... from me (that's the bizarre bit)
Anyway, I did these quite a while back, but only just got them to Gelato to upload for me (they add up to about 60-odd MB). I actually did an entire bloody video jobby (which I can send anyone who's strange enought to want it, for the price of a dvd-r, shipping, and my messing about), and pulled out the main sections as mega-compressed .movs (apologies to you Apple-haters ... but then, I don't really care about you anyway )
Anyway, here they are. Particular apologies for the sweeping section. I kept screwing it up, and by the time I came to do the take I kept, I was really quite pissed off (it probably shows, too )

I don't know what's up with it really. I think it started happening after I installed an old soundblaster to replace the built-in sound on my Ignorant Bloody Machine (the stereo's hooked up to the PC).

The little finger does what it wants. Even if you watch guys like Jason Becker you see their little finger curling away from the fretboard whenever it's not actually fretting a note. I don't think it's possible to stop it. By the same token, it's probably not an issue, given that those guys play what they do depite it.
jloo - cheers I think it's important to try to reduce everything to its simplest - at least conceptually, even though the technical side might be difficult.

Just gone through your first one on alt-picking. Alt picking is something ive been doing for a while but I'm going to go back and examine it after seeing the vid to go over each aspect! Fantastic stuff and really appreciated!

maybe you could do a little series of lessons on learning a particular song eg little wing etc
give tips on the best approach to nail the song.... picking dynamics... and so on

most hendrix songs u gotta get use to wrapping ur thumb over the top and fretting notes on the low E, and rhythm rhythm rhythm.
