Funny how things happen. Cap'n was saying the other day how it was the guy out of Boston who invented the Rockman. He's some sort of electronics wizz as well as a musical genius.
Anyway, today on Hauraki they had a bit about Boston and it prompted me to look them up on Wiki. Worth a read. The first album was recorded in his basement.
But anyone remember the fucking Rockman? How to make your guitar sound like a thousand transistor radios? The Jenny Craig of tone.
Remember the Rockman?

I was listening to that doco before. Tom Shultz of the band Boston was an engineering student at MIT before the band took off. After they came back to earth he designed the Rockman and started the company.
