I was blown away tonight, I have never seen such an amazing display of skill on the guitar...
During Supernovas new song after the 2nd or 3rd chorus, Gilby Clark walks away from the stage into shadows towards the Marshal stack.
With his back to camera, he was playing a slightly crunchy chord progression while his hand was not on the neck, very very tricky.
I sat there with my mouth open while my 15 year old ( also a guitarist/bass player ) sat forward, pointed at the Tv and shouted in outrage "Dad, he's not really playing!!"
Anyone else spot, or better yet, record this and can confirm or deny what we think we saw? The drums and vocals were live on that song, but what about the rest??
Supernova, did you see this..?

The house guitarist played the intro aswell didn't he? Gilby was just hitting chords.Vorbis wrote:Yes, he also has great skill playing the solo parts, and playing the rhythm as well. The house guitarist was playing along, as was the keyboardist.
I noticed 2 or 3 spots thru the song where he just did'nt bother playing.
Yup, good point, I think you are right Vorbis.
So Supernova cant really perform that song as a three peice but want to appear as if they can?
I have no issue with extra guitar and keys, but I think that they should not pretend that others dont contribute to the bands tone, by putting them off stage.
