The youtube algorithm hurts channels which don't do click baitey bullshit, its painful, still at least we can hear stuff these days before buying, god forbid we have to go into a store and test things ourselvessizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 12:38 pmI understand that, but it does nothing for their reputation. Many good YouTube channels don't rely on click-bait titles and I'm much more likely to subscribe to them

Re: YouTube goodness
Some of the coffee channels I follow have done vids on how they make a living from youtube, it's interesting hearing how it works for content creators who make enough for it to be their main source of income. One mentioned he took a week off, posted nothing and came back to find his channel had fallen out of the algorithm sweet spot and his views and subsequent income had tanked, going from being able to buy lots of stuff to demo to not being able to pay his mortgage.
My eldest has a youtube chanel she posts shorts on, most of it is the sort of stuff that leaves me scratching my head in an old man way, but typically she gets 10-15 views, mainly her friends. And one vid that got 15000 views, for what reason I don't know, it's not even her best work.

The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

An excellent explanation of how NFB and Presence controls differ and how they work!

I mistakenly put this in your Post Jb. I've deleted it but the pic persists.
Maybe it's because these Harmony shitboxes are impossible to kill!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
