Robot sweeps

Post by denden »

I figured i should post this up, someone might find it useful. Three note sweep picking, all down strokes. Sounds like a robot

e|----------------------------------------------17------------------------------------------------
b|----------------------------------16-----15-------------17-------------------------------------
g|----------------------16-----15-----14-------------15-------------16--------------------------
d|----------16-----15-----14---------------------14-------------15------------16~~~~~--------
a|------15-----14---------------------------------------------14------------15------------------
e|--14--------------------------------------------------------------------14----------------------

Add some vibrato to the last note or you could slide it up a couple frets and do it all over again.

Enjoy

you can also play it as 14 and 15 hammer ons and 16/17 as a right hand tap.

That reminds me of a "demented computer" tritone tapping lick i used to do

Code: Select all

  T T T T
E ---------------------------14p0h6h8--
B ------------------14p0h6h8-----------
G ---------14p0h6h8--------------------
D 14p0h6h8-----------------------------
A -------------------------------------
E -------------------------------------

Heh, just had band practice. Using the first riff with the tapping method then bolting your lick onto the end of it sounds awesome :D Sounds killer if you can getting going at a proper speed.

You want crazy robot lick? I give you ultimate crazy robot lick!

T T T T

-------------------------18(p)--12--15(h)------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------18(p)--12--15(h)-------------------------

Play it as fast as you can and repeat the sequence ad nauseum.

Edit- can't get "T"s in the right place so all 18th fret notes are tapped.
