Got the chance to dress a lil nicer and head along to the Bill Withers Social Club on Sat at the Aotea Centre.
The collective is comprised of members from Fat Freddy's Drop, Trinity Roots, Fly my Pretties and more.
They killed it. I don't know how to write a review but they played all the Withers hits you know and love and then some more.... they nailed every one and stamped their own sound on it while doing so.
The vibe in the hall was so damn good, it was massive. Everyone was having a major good time, there was singing, some dancing and a rowdy standing ovation.
Highly recommend if you gwt the chance .

Re: Bill Withers Social Club
Is it L.A. Mitchell? I saw on a Dave Dobbyn tour- she's great.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.
