Any Epiphone Coronet Owners Here?
Hi all...anyone have one of these, or know anyone with one?
If so I need some help. I am working on one currently as a restoration - a 1967 model. I need a tracing of the rear control plate so I can work out the route.
Any help that results in me succeeding in getting this right will be rewarded with beer (of their choice).

Why not try the Epiphone forum?

Re: Any Epiphone Coronet Owners Here?
Thanks OC...I'm trying to avoid joining up to another forum. Anyone here a member of the Epi forum?
I asked on the Les Paul forum and got nil response. Not suprising.

Re: Any Epiphone Coronet Owners Here?
I'm a member of the Epi forum. I've just posted a thread on your behalf, and sent a message to a member who has a '64 Coronet, which is the same year as the one pictured. I'll let you know if I get any results. Out of curiosity though, why don't you tape a sheet of paper over the cavity then rub a pencil or crayon or something over it to show up the edges of the cavity? I'm sure you've thought of that though, so is there some other reason?
Looks like a cool, funkier alternative to an LP or SG Junior.

I appreciate that. The body had been routed for humbuckers and normal les paul style controls. I filled the huge hole with mahogany and now need to get it back right. The cover will allow me to create the cavity.

You could print the picture to 1:1 scale and use that?

I've got an Olympic double and a Crestwood deluxe. Same body and neck but all front mounted electronics unfortunately. Great little guitars, i've always wanted a Coronet!

Hey cool man...that Double Olympic is a 60's one right? The Crestwood either a newer reissue or an early 70's one? They are wickedly cool guitars. I wish mine hadn't been so messed with.

Spot on! The Olympic is from 1966 and the Crestwood from 2008! Where did you get the Coronet? I'd imagine there's not a lot of them floating around in NZ.*UNIQUE* wrote:Hey cool man...that Double Olympic is a 60's one right? The Crestwood either a newer reissue or an early 70's one? Re: Any Epiphone Coronet Owners Here?
Actually, hard to know whether it was a Coronet or an Olympic. But it's a Coronet now
It was found in a rubbish dumpster with other crap. Someone swapped it for an acoustic, then I got. As usual I had to pay hard cash. Deals n me don't go together very often.
I have all the parts ready...just short on time (got a '69 Duo Jet about to be finished)....
