Re: amp design books
yeah have that site bookmarked as well, the Duncan TSC is more just for calculating frequency response changes for different tonestacks and how the response and sweep changes when you change certain resistors

Sounds a lot like what a tone stack calculator should dodruz15 wrote:yeah have that site bookmarked as well, the Duncan TSC is more just for calculating frequency response changes for different tonestacks and how the response and sweep changes when you change certain resistors

Re: amp design books
Yay Merlin's preamp book arrived today. Nearly finished the Megantz one, which has been great for an introduction to understanding the basics of how everything works.
I've started by attempting to convert (on paper) the first channel of a Vox AC100CP (100 Watt version of my old Vox, which I loved the first channel on) into a single channel, 50Wattish handwired design.
Started by trying to isolate the channel 1 circuit, but there is a lot of crossover, and weird switching and stuff that I'm just ignoring for the moment, and have started drawing up a rough idea of a turretboard design for it.
