What's your favourite keys

Post by Slowy »

From my comment in Just Saying:

Favourite keys; do you have some? What makes them your favourite? What about preferred chord shapes and the freedom capos give to indulge them?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I just play notes that seem to work together, I have no concept of keys or chords, I kinda know what a scale is but....

D minor which is the saddest of all keys, I find. People weep instantly when they hear it, and I don't know why.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

A and E major (I think) are the big ones for me, occasionally D and I hardly ever touch B, G (oo-er) and C, F.
