Interesting with the rounded fretboard, maybe we've contrained to flattened radiuses because of the limitations of woodgrains.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

After listening to recordings of our 75 p bass from our weekend practice, then this......there is a reason bass guitars aren't made from ex Soviet space junk.

I do a lot of double stops and barre chords and things. I have no idea what it would be like on a tubular neck. Strumming would probably be a pain as well.
I gather that it would be more ergonomic for playing single notes though.
EDIT: this guy is having a go. Sounds a bit sloppy but I guess it's an off the cuff demo.
