Excessive Gear Day (EGD) Thread
I'm sure many have had these, but I was trawling through older gear pics and stumbled across an earlier board iteration (this one was a PT-Grande...) and thought 'what the hell was I thinking??'. I think I justified it with thoughts that I'd set several drive pedals up for each guitar/amp, and never have to turn a knob or something...

Re: Excessive Gear Day (EGD) Thread
Sorry - I hope this isn't coming across as a 'load your skites up here' thread - it's meant to be a wry look at going too far (beyond what you really had/have a need for) due to that deadly disease called GAS.
As you were.
As you were.

Haha good thread. I don't have a great photo, but if 'excessive' is defined as what you need to play live - I would have no pedal board at all! I have become one of those bedroom warriors for a couple of years.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Probably more fuzz pedals than one really needs... I wish I could say it has reduced since I took this photo, but while there have been changes, the total head count is about the same...

How far apart are they year-wise? Interesting the differences (pups, headstock etc)bender wrote:I think this qualifies:

Nope, you could still find a bit of space on the floor for a Boba Fuzz I reckon!Darth Sabbathi wrote:Probably more fuzz pedals than one really needs... I wish I could say it has reduced since I took this photo, but while there have been changes, the total head count is about the same...

Far out, did you use a scooter to quickly get from one end to the other during gigs?null_pointer wrote:I'm sure many have had these, but I was trawling through older gear pics and stumbled across an earlier board iteration (this one was a PT-Grande...) and thought 'what the hell was I thinking??'. Re: Excessive Gear Day (EGD) Thread
I believe they're only a year apart. One on the right is a '63 and the one on the left is a '64. The '63 originally would have had only one pickup (probably why the bridge one is in a slightly different spot) and it would have been a HiLo Tron (the same as what is in the other one). The neck shape is quite different too. The one on the right has a repro pickguard too- clearly not too accurate to the original!null_pointer wrote:How far apart are they year-wise? Kev77, this thread deserves a group photo of your delay pedals.
