The bubble won't burst until we get both a recession and an increase in interest rates. It could have stagnated like in Japan. Except the ********* turned on the immigration tap which boosted house prices.

I read JB is going to play it...
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Maybe later in the year...he's a little far away to pop over! Apparently it's a huge sounding guitar.Slowy wrote:Unplayed for 60 years?!!!!!
It takes special ability to build a guitar that bad.
So Grant, you hanging at your friend's place for the next 6 months?
It's interesting for sure...will post when I get some real time.olegmcnoleg wrote:What's the story behind that guitar Grant?

To be fair, we used to export 30,00 kiwis a year to Oz. Not only are they staying home, many others are coming back.werdna wrote: Except the ********* turned on the immigration tap which boosted house prices.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Dammit every time I see a new post I open the thread hoping to see Grant's essay on the story of the guitar but it's just house prices and politics! Boo!

So, as the sun sets on another day, and another piece of gear is on its way, we say goodbye to TradeMe and wonder what exciting things will be listed tomorrow. Will Marshall man still want A FUCKING FORTUNE for his amp? Will someone be dumb enough to stump-up $4k for that white Les Paul Custom that just doesn't seem right somehow? Will we finally find that elusive Buy Now bargain? We can only wait and wonder.
Goodnight GAS boys and, well, just boys actually. Goodnight.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...
