I would have thought your TwoRock provides a far nicer reverb than you are going to get from a digi pedal.

Though I bet it sounds crap once he plugs the Friedman into it...!Dharmajester wrote:I would have thought your TwoRock provides a far nicer reverb than you are going to get from a digi pedal.

Absolutely true. But there's no point talking logic and common sense to Molly when he wants to buy something.Dharmajester wrote:I would have thought your TwoRock provides a far nicer reverb than you are going to get from a digi pedal.

Depends what he's after though – if he's just after spring reverb then it's kinda pointless when he's got an excellent boutique amp that provides the real deal. If he's after big ethereal or different reverbs then it makes sense.

Strymons have a bit of a reputation for being sterile, which is great for church, but.... Everyone keeps selling them.... Neunaber all the way, there's a reason you hardly ever see them for sale!

I've had both and I think the Wet just edges the Blue Sky out.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Flint isn't sterile couldn't vouch for the others though.jeremyb wrote:Strymons have a bit of a reputation for being sterile, which is great for church, but.... Everyone keeps selling them.... Neunaber all the way, there's a reason you hardly ever see them for sale!
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

The Strymon BigSky is about as far away from being "sterile" as possible. The Bloom and Cloud modes are completely heavenly, and second only to what you'd find in an 80's rack.
I recommend the TC Hall Of Fame. That's a damn good little pedal, and very affordable. The Plate and Church modes are stately home in the Cotswolds level of posh.
