Wow, that is very cool. Me likey!
I climbed on the back of a giant albatross which flew through a crack in the cloud to a place where happiness reigned all year round and music played ever so loudly

Very nice. Smelliness aside, it looks to be in pretty good condition overall.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. Structurally it's great but it does look like it's been through the digestive tract of a large carnivoreMini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:Very nice. Smelliness aside, it looks to be in pretty good condition overall.

Weighed this bass today. 8.8lb / 4kg . Puts it on the lighter end of the range as far as I can tell which is good news.

Re: NGD: 1978 Fender P bass
Well I think I have successfully de-stinkafied the case. Wiping the outside with detergent and water lifted a thick black coating..... Ewwww
Took a light wash with a damp cloth, three days of airing out in the open air. 24 hrs with baking soda and left in a hot room then vacummed thoroughly followed by a spray with foaming pet smell remover carpet cleaner. A light wash to remove any surface chemicals left behind them another 24 hrs open to air to dry it all out. I gave the bass a wash too with a damp cloth and a tiny bit of detergent and deodorizer in it. Worked a treat.
