Re: The NZG MTS Thread
Too fat in the lower-mids for the tunings I usually use but sounds good in standard tuning.
Amps:
Soldano SLO100 x2 | Wizard MC1 & MC2 | Diezel Herbert
Fryette Pittbull CL | Marshall 2203KK | Krank Rev 50 | Mesa Mark 2A
Rack stuff:
VHT/Fryette GP3, GP/DI & 2/90/2 | Peters FSM/Chimera
Verellen Meatsmoke | Synergy SYN1 | Mesa Studio

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
The MTS thread is like a mini forum within the forum, where only the cool guys hang out.

Sounds like the opposite of the BE module, hmm...godgrinder wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 7:06 pmToo fat in the lower-mids for the tunings I usually use but sounds good in standard tuning.
I notice it when I switch to the VH4 and the chunk comes back

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
Just grabbed an RM4 and RT2/50 from my mate (leaving him with his RM100). I already have an RM100, but wanted to fiddle with the rack dual powertube setup fun. I've also landed the Yuneo dual mod kit for the RM4 and the cathode biasing switch that I have yet to install.
Anyone got a dual MTS mod or Synergy mod they want to get rid of so I can test it all?

That's a good deal, I am a fan of the clean on the OS. It is tricky to balance the OD channel with the clean though

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
Thanks guys! knew there'd be something out there. I'm intrigued by the OS, and may hit you up later about that one, but for my current purposes the BE seems to fit the bill. pm'd

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
Every time I hang out here, I regret selling my RM4 and RT2/50, and that I'm no longer one of the cool kids
Great to see there is still much enthusiasm for this awesome gear though

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
I think I now have your RM4 and RT2/50 now Oleg, by way of Werdna. The RT2/50 currently has 6550s and KT88s.
I modded the topboost module to be a Cornford Harlequin/Carrera but it's turned out so so. Think i'll redo it as an Orange Thunderverb. So many options...

Actually that's not true, I only have the RM4. I got the RT2/50 off TrademeMattallica wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 2:09 pm I think I now have your RM4 and RT2/50 now Oleg, by way of Werdna. The RT2/50 currently has 6550s and KT88s.

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
Nice, glad it has a good home. I also wish they made a 6v6/el84 version of that power amp, that is more my thing.Mattallica wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 2:09 pm I think I now have your RM4 and RT2/50 now Oleg, by way of Werdna. The RT2/50 currently has 6550s and KT88s.
