Re: Nik Huber Orca '59
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Nik Huber Orca '59
I appreciated that she didn't fucking shout or speak at a million miles an hour the whole time. Didn't love all the playing, but some of it was pretty nice, and I appreciated that it wasn't all teh brootz. Some of her lyrics are maybe a bit overly earnest, but I can live with that kind of sincerity. It's not an exact comparison, but I much prefer this kind of vid to the fucking matey masculine banter of Andertons or whatever.

Re: Nik Huber Orca '59
I quit after she used the term 'absolute treat'. I think the turn off is the 'rather poshness' of it all. Could be wrong. Didn't watch the whole thing. Blurgh

Re: Nik Huber Orca '59
Is it just me or does that guitar actually sound pretty bad? Got that hollowbody woodiness, but without the corresponding warmth.

Re: Nik Huber Orca '59
True. I checked out Mesa Boogie's demo of it, and it sounded pretty good.

If Mary Spender isn't your flavour - Red Fang are rocking double Nik Huber's now:
Normally I'm against bridge humbuckers with neck p90s for aesthetic reasons, but I'd make an exception for the Krautster II

Naturally my opinion is no more valid than yours, but I can report that I've had a couple of good hangs with Mary and I'm of the opinion she's a pretty great human.
