Re: Depeche Mode cover
That reminds me of Porcupine Tree!
I think the snare overpowers a bit of the vocal, like the tails on the hits are too long, and the kick could be a tad louder to my ears.
Those 'tinkle sound's are a bit piercing on my gear but I'm being nitpicky. On the whole I think it's really well done. As a personal preference I'd prefer the piano to not fade in but just come in hard after a measure or so. The ending sounds like death metal vocals which is cool.
Great job man.

Wow, sounds slick.
I don't know the original song, so if I didn't know it was a cover, I'd have thought it was the original.
Agree with above comment, vocals could be just a touch louder maybe.

Nothing to see here.

Re: Depeche Mode cover
That was massive. Loved when the high vocal came in and the synth counter melody over the chorus. Superb
And of course the piano part at the end…..

Re: Depeche Mode cover
Cheers mate. The original is a true work of art, from an era when the pop charts were still hugely diverse!

Thanks heaps JB! Coming from a fellow fan, your comment means a lot the bassist from my old band circa 15 years ago is a gigantic DM fan and he introduced me to the band. Ive send him the link, he’ll either congratulate me or tell me to fek off! Haha

Re: Depeche Mode cover
Thanks Kev! Its actually a pretty weird song from a structure point of view aye. I also love the synth melody in the final “chorus”. Its what keeps drawing me back to the song and was so well executed in the original
