As I have serious issues with making my mind up on anything, I'll start another thread instead

This looks interesting.

Guess that's why I don't build acoustics: don't have enough scratch.

This is on my shortlist of acoustics, Mayer fanboy so Martin is appealing.... and he plays an OM which appears to be the same shape, but just be a longer scale than the OOO...

This guys videos are interesting, tortures guitars then cuts them in half!

These Eastman OM models seem really great value wise, solid back and sides... $899 NZ for the Cedar topped one.

Yes, these are very good. Maybe Codedog will let you try his? If you want an all-solid guitar, then these are the ones to get to keep the price down.

No, nothing good ever comes from that. An F50 is my dream Lotto guitar.

Another less expensive option for an all solid wood guitar is one of the Lowden/Sheeran series. Plenty of different models and woods to choose from, and all on the smaller side (00 or 000). You need to buy from overseas though, I don’t think NZ has an importer. These are so much better than the cheap Martins.

Seems Guitar Gallery are a Lowden dealer:

Cool, thanks. I did not know that. I’ve not heard of Guitar Gallery previously. Wonder how I missed that?

I'm packing my stuff to send overseas. I keep looking at my ex-Oleg Walden Concorda and wondering if I should just sell it. Owes me $500 if memory serves, and I definitely prefer it to the Taylor it replaced.

Anybody in the market?

It's supposed to be getting packed this evening actually so I suppose this is a very short-notice thing.

Me too. Only recently heard of them after Black Strat Blues mentioned trading an amp there.

That's a really nice guitar for $500. All solid wood, and a great tone. JB should buy it I reckon.
