New bridge pickup: Double White or Double Cream?
I've been wanting to swap out the bridge pickup in my Les Paul Classic for something with a bit more output. It currently has a set of 36th Anniversary PAFs and I going to drop in a Mr Glyn Cloud 9 into the bridge. The neck seems pretty close spec-wise to Glyn's Cloud 9 neck so will leave as is.
I want to go either double white or double cream in the bridge and leave the neck covered. Will likely ask Glyn to age it a bit to match. Bit of a Jimmy Page look. What do you guys think? I'm leaning toward the cream, white might stick out like newly whitened teeth I'm thinking.

It's early yet. I was the first to vote nickel on JB's thread, way behind the others. Look where that ended up.

Double cream is making a dash for it
I could ask Glyn for an aged double cream with a nickel cover on it give it a hoon both ways.

You sure?
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Re: New bridge pickup: Double White or Double Cream?
I've got zebra in my black Eclipse, which I may change out for Fishmams yet. I could try them in the LP for a Slash vibe. The LP has an Obsidian Wire harness in so easy as to swap pickups in and out.
I am digging the double cream bridge with covered neck. I think I'll go with that and ask Glyn for a cover in case it's disgusting.

Mr Glyn wax pots his pickups, but he has covered one of my sets for postage and the coat of the covers...

Most likely just keep it in the drawer in case I want to sell them as a set later on.
