Sort of sounds like different humidity/temp then, give it a bit of time to settle down....but hey I am no expert, I have found when I brought in gats from the States they often took a while to stabilise ie coming from winter to summer or visa a vie. I often use a damp sponge in the case for a week o...

You have pretty much got it, it is definitely not as hard as some make out. I have all vintage guitars and had to learn to do this, use a straight edge to get a visual, there are various ways...a business card under the 7th fret, capo the first and fret the 14th or 12th blah blah, Ash can probably a...

The Regal tri is also bell brass and engraved...very controlled sound, not as brash as the single cones. I prefer the biscuits to ...

Oh and nice Regal, how does it sound? I had a metal body biscuit cone that with a National cone was great. Here is the Regal I have now, one of the last made by Amistar in the Czech Republic before the went to China

Check out this forum, I have been a member for years and there is a sh#tload of advice on amplifying resos. T...

Can't disagree with that, I had to work jobs to buy my surfboards when I was younger, my folks insisted, and I sure knew what they cost. luckily I didn't get into guitars until later in life, but damn I worked my butt off for surfboards and motorbikes.

I bring in a few guitars (well quite a few), but these aren't my specialty, must be new,...

And here is the latest addition to the family, arrived yesterday....1960 Harmony Rocket, this thing has hardly been played, no fret or fretboard wear and all original, looks like new. Sounds like a ballsier 335. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n204/k1w1_02/Rocket-2.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com...

Have you tried glass bead blasting?
Nah sands better, doesn't punch holes in the top

I have several old gats that are proudly showing their scars and would.t change them, but when you get a mint one, a little preventative work helps :)
