Re: Iron Maiden 2024

I’d pay $190 to see them in CHCH, I’d even take my son with like we are doing for Foos, but travel in top is too much for me :(

Re: Iron Maiden 2024

I think I've decided I'm not going to rush and buy tickets and hang out and see if they do something mad like adding a CHCH date

or see if I can make Oz work maybe

That June-60 is so cool.

If that had been in your selling list I've have been seriously tempted (for no good logical reason beyond, it sounded so cool)

Re: Iron Maiden 2024

I was a little sad when I realised there was only a single Auckland show. Now I'm trying to decide whether to go to Auckland and bear the cost of flights and accomodation etc. or maybe I should just go to Brisbane (assuming they're playing there) and I can go with the Mrs. and we can spend a few day...

That's proper engineering genius! A solution to the problem with the tools at hand and so well executed.

The whole thing is amazing and I'm dying to hear it and add it to my Christmas present list in the future :)

Great stuff.

What amazed me was the sheer background noise from all those amps when nothing was happening!

Must have been deafening when he let rip in what is effectively a container by the look of it!

Nice Les Paul Mark :)

Good to see you're still keeping a fairly familiar set of guitars.

SessionStudio App - How you get Paid

Just watched this video from Rick Baato on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TM9foEQJ-Q Basically Bjorn and some other musicians in Sweden have created a global platform called SessionStudio that helps everyone from Songwriters through musicians and even cover bands to track who is attatched...

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?

With all the discussion about keeping your kids interested in learning I've decided I might actually give myself a break from thinking about playing more guitar and actually have a go at learning to play Bass. I've got a rather nice Squire Jaguar Bass and nice a thumpy HiWatt amp so I'm going to giv...

Re: YouTube goodness

Hopefully it's safely hidden somewhere around the house already :) and she doesn't forget where she put it (like she has with early bought presents in the past) Did you ever find any of them? Would be pretty cool finding them years later and hearing her say, "oh yeah, that's where I put it!&qu...

Re: YouTube goodness

Man I love that Star Fleet project, I've owned and enjoyed the original since it was very first released way back when I was a kid. I've already got my Mrs. to buy me one of the box sets for Christmas next year. Hopefully it's safely hidden somewhere around the house already :) and she doesn't forge...

I"ve got a lot of time for Nail, I took Jack to one of their shows at the recently refurbished CHCH town hall a while back (when Jack was probably 10 or so and pretty short) Jack decided he want to go down the front and ended up on the rail right in front of Nail, who really engaged with Jack a...

Re: Rig Rundown

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oGfDV3w53M Watched that yesterday, very interesting to see Dave make the switch, he's been very conservative with his rig for years, hardly changing it etc. and allegedly using a GT100 or GR1000 for a solo fly rig according to Nita Strauss I believe. I'm assuming wh...
