Re: Christchurch Dec 3rd 2022

It should be manageable this evening, 2 tables due for packing flat and moving out and my desk moves along a wall and that's about 90% done.

Re: Christchurch Dec 3rd 2022

TOMORROW!! YAY! Beyond the fact that I have a lot of tidying up to do still FullStudio.jpg I need to make this a big open space for you all. but beyond that I'm actually looking forward to talking guitars and stuff with folks. I'm in a bit of a downer on guitar at the moment so looking forward to s...

Re: New Metallica

I could hear a deep Diamond Head Influence in it, no bad thing in my view, especially in some of the vocal passages and the ends of the riffs

Re: Christchurch Dec 3rd 2022

I'll get JB to update the root post with address details. Looks like a 1:30 start at the moment (I'll be around home from mid day anyway). Darfield Bakery does nice pies/coffee and will be open for those passing through, might be a little less selection of pies at that time but all still good, feel ...

Re: Christchurch Dec 3rd 2022

Keen! I'm away all week back Friday late. What time is kickoff? :) I'm flexible on timing, what suits most people? lunch into the afternoon? or morning into lunch? I'm a long way from clearing out to make space so I've got a busy few evenings coming up. In fact the time I'd earmarked for tidying up...

Re: Your Parents Legacy.

Now that's a weird topic to think about. My birth parents divorced very messily when I was 10, pretty much never saw my genetic father again, however I suspect I owe my music skills to him since my mother "never had a note in her head" which I can vouch for having heard her galantly sing a...

Re: Budget Mahogany small body cutaway acoustic?

Before I bought my Taylor I had been very impressed by a Walden at that type of price point (but going back a bit now). They seemed to have the usual variety of body size/shapes

I'm going to just point out that you might want to think of calling in at the Darfield Bakery on your way through to grab some breakfast/lunch depending on what time we finally settle on. Best pies for miles :)
