Re: Seymour Duncan Blackouts

In my experience blackouts aren't that different from emgs, I found them very similar to running emgs @ 18 volts.
Emgs fitted in all the guitars I've tried, are you sure you aren't thinking of the seven string version?

Re: Triple recto fx loop

Running the NS-2 in an x config only really works with a serial loop because the fx send needs to send the whole preamp signal not a % of it. You can still use the NS-2 loop around any pedals in front of the amp though, useful for distortions/ods etc. The ISO-5 or fuel tank JR would work ok if you w...

Re: The Big Four

I saw it thursday. It was a pretty cool movie, goes for about 4 hours so worth the $33 I reckon if you like all the bands (or most of them, I can't stand slayer). Pretty annoying for the first few megadeth solos where for some reason they show ellefson or mustaine playing instead of broderick ...

Re: Good (cheap) multimeter.

I've had a digitech QM1320 for over 6 months now. ~30 bucks, works great for what I use it for and what the OP would likely use it for (continuity, checking resistor values, checking dc voltages etc.... haven't been measuring anything as small as mV though)

Re: Guitar Photography

This one is probably technically quite bad - a bit washed out, no detail etc. But I really like the wheel of the car centred in the background, the red brake caliper and the rest of the car being the same colour as the burst of the guitar. Img_1494.jpg I think this guitar would look better with art...

Re: Can a guitar cable be used as a speaker cable?

As long as you make sure the solders are nice and not touching, you can't really go wrong. Just hit it with a multi-meter to test continuity before you use it. IMO i'd much rather that than use an instrument cable not designed to handle the load of an amp's speaker output! http://www.fender.com/new...
