Re: Getgood Drums
I've seen this around but have yet to give it a try. GAS'ing for Superior Drummer, which seems like the ultimate.
The drummer in my band bought a new midi kit recently so gonna hook that into Slate Drums at some point for some fun

Re: I'm retiring from charity work.
I'll never forget the time the Mint Chicks soundguy throttled me by the scruff of my shirt (literal chokehold), guitar in hand heading to the stage, and told me to finish by 9pm, not a second over, or he'd pull the effing plug because "I'm not here for you, I'm here for the Mint Chicks" -...

Boxes i'm looking to tick... - Complements my Mesa Electra Dyne. Sometimes together in stereo (if I'm lucky), sometimes in place of - Reliable. If not high quality handmade in the USA/UK then at least heavy duty components - Beautiful clean channel that takes pedals well, with some breakup possible ...

Screw the salaryman gig - you should be doing this for a living. People will pay serious coin for that kind of quality and coveted uniqueness.

Re: Detune pedal?
He's tried de-tuning his guitars but the sound is mushy. The problem starts there I think - define "mushy". Does he mean mushy feeling (loose strings) or mushy sounding (muddy, no clarity) - or both? Guitars can be setup for low tunings and sound fine. My Charvel is in drop B with 12-54s ...

Re: Fender Tonemaster Princeton
As for a cheaper modelling alternative of a similar standard... That's the thing though - for the same money you can get a faithful tube-driven clone, handwired by MikeC.
