Leave The Dead's bass player has left due to family and work commitments, we are continuing as a 4 piece for now but need a bass player so we can return to the dual guitar line up.

We play metal, we have gigs lined up and recording in progress.

haha I know that feeling only too well :D I need to get something recorded again quickly as I'm thinking of heading off to the bottleshop and I lose the will to do anything but watch cat videos when I've had a few.... I like them for count ins as most drummers I play with are way off, like nerves making them speed up or whatever, but the count in only works a dream, you just need a hint.

Most songs I have written have started from a riff, then expanding on it. Normally if I have say just a riff and no set song in my mind, I picture where abouts in a song the particular riff would be. Then its a matter of expanding on the riff. Most times though I have a tune in my head, a vocal melo...
