Wow, I was sure I heard synth in there. Great use of ambient tones! 8) Sorry if you've said already, but what DAW do you use? cubase 5 :) What kind of interface do you use? i use a rme hsdp 9632 chained to an rme adi 8 converter. but i would also be totally happy with one of them new firefaces.

sure martin id be more than happy to :) in the intro, there are 2 layers of the main rhythm part with tremolo, one slightly dirtier panned a bit to the right, and one clean one kinda panned to the left. then theres one very ambient oodles of delay and reverb and mod and synth kinda thing underneath ...

aww shucks thanks dudes. sam.. yeah groove is a big deal for me. if it doesnt get me moving its pointless. i think that influence comes from meshuggah who are probably the grooviest metal band ever. @ badmotor : yeah man.. gotta have big ass drums when you can.. its the only way for this kinda music...

sure have jeremy.. i think they are more 3D than the stock avatar kit, but theres something about the avatar kit that i just love. but ive moved onto slate trigger now which is a beast and requires very little tweaking. but its only kick, snare toms so now i might switch to metal foundry as the avat...

@ robnobcorncob : yeah most certainly am. just in the last stages of production for the album, and then its onto the mix. so i expect the album will be out early next year

i own a pair of ath m50s..and i can vouch for them being good headphones. but i like the ultrasone hfi 580 way better. i would try a/b them if i were you.
