Re: FX loop / True Bypass / buffer question
how does that add up? a 3pdt is significantly more expensive than a dpdt, and even adding into the equation the cost of components and board for a buffer I'd still have thought the cost is higher for 3pdt :? I'm fully prepared to be shot down in flames here. 1) If you're buying in serious quantity ...

Re: Beam blockers
Interesting.....
Thanks, Guys. I will try something out for my next rehearsal. I am not too keen on the duct tape because of the residue, but I have some "temporary" strong adhesive I could try out with.

Thanks,Vorbis wrote:Nice, thanks mate. What's the full price for a set?
I paid $AU200 for the set when I was in Melbourne (single PU's were selling for about $AU135 at the time!) - they normally go for $AU270. For comparison, Kinmans were around $AU500 at the time. Not sure what prices are here.

Fender hot noiseless pickups
These pickups are stacked humbuckers that still give a "single coil" sound. They are the ones currently used in the Jeff Beck signature strat. The set I bought came in an aged white colour. I installed these pickups in my '91 USA Standard Strat, replacing the original pickups. The hum is g...

Guitarist returning to action
Hi y'all, I have been a bit out of action over the past 12 months (moving back to NZ and having my first child) but am now getting itchy fingers and would very much like to get back into playing music with other people. I am looking to join a band and have time to rehearse once a week and gig probab...

Hi Y'all
Hi Y'all, This is my first post so I thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce my self. I am a guitarist (well, duh!) who has been playing for many years and have had a lot of fun playing in bands, recording, playing in orchestras for musicals, and even performing a bit of dinner theater. I curr...
