Re: Broken Headstock without warning?
Decades ago the mega-corporations discovered the secret for the construction of necks that give a warning before breaking , but they suppressed the technology. 9-11 troofers exposed this as as a interesting side issue when researching the self destructing technology hidden in all tall buildings. Cl...

Re: The "Get Off My Lawn!" thread
I don't see why grammar/spellcheck has to be such a big deal. If you can't find two of your friends to read the whole book at a slower than normal pace then your probably going to struggle to get anyone else to read it either. That with more advanced grammar/spell checks should be able to remove the...

Re: Kemper Profiling Amp
I said this last time, won't you have to redo the test for every possible config of settings on the amp? Not so bad with an amp with gain vol tone controls, if you approximated each control as 10 steps on the dial that's 1000 tests, doable. But if your doing a 7 knob amp and want more accurate setti...

Most people probably know, but you might want to include your location.

Re: How Good Should You Be Before You Care About Tone?
As long as it is you caring about the tone you have and not you caring about the tone other people on the internet think you have based on your gear then I'd say just go for it. One other thing, make sure you can feed yourself/family, everything else can go on the gear.

Re: Line 6 See. Change
L3T looks just as similar to a tapco as a mackie, which is ~700~. Really hard to tell the quality of the amp/speaker inside it by looking at the shape of the plastic though.

Re: Harmonica repair?
If that's the case (cost wise) then I'll probably just have another go myself, next step is to pry the plates from the comb cause it is nailed on. ugh.

Harmonica repair?
I have a chromatic harmonica and a couple of the reeds/wind savers could use some work, I've taken it apart but haven't managed to fix it and if I try anything more I'll probably do more harm than good.
Any recommendations for someone to get in contact with?

Re: Keen to try a ZT Lunchbox, keen to buy a ZT Lunchbox
20 watts is 20 watts whether its generated by valves, sillicon or steam. Obviously, but thats not useful when comparing SS to Tube, if I buy a 100W amp I have an expectation of loud it is, if I buy a 100W SS amp and a 100W tube amp I'm not going to be comparing apples with apples now am I? But even...

Re: Keen to try a ZT Lunchbox, keen to buy a ZT Lunchbox
When you say clean though, you mean really clean. With just a tingle of distortion a tube amp is already above rating. Most of us would happily use a slightly distorted valve amp for clean tone.

Said statement may have been over the top, but you should still check out Yamaha.

Re: Samick are the best guitar on the market
I'm not impressed with the tuning issues with Gibson guitars. My acoustic Indonesian made Samick stays in tune and sounds quite good for the $160 I paid for it back 98 (still going strong). Maybe they have a point. A guitar isn't worth a pinch of salt if the fuckin' thing doesn't stay in tune. *sig...
