I know this makes me deeply uncool, but I actually prefer the Boss PH-3 to the Phase 90.
Is there something wrong with me? (Other than tone-deafness).

Melvins, Melvins, Melvins...am I repeating myself?
Do it. Now. Buzz Osbourne = king of the riff (and yes, that includes ex-king Tony Iommi).

My first guitar was a Samick acoustic - laugh, but I was 9. That's still my only acoustic guitar. A few years later I got an Ibanez GIO starter pack for my birthday - once again, still have it. Then last year I got my Schecter Tempest after taking a small loan from my parents. That's still my main g...

If you're willing to spend a little money, maybe try putting a bass pickup in yo...

Other stoner metal stuff to check out would be the Melvins, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Corrosion of Conformity, Electric Wizard and Orange Goblin.
Also give Alice in Chains and pre-Superunknown Soundgarden a try if you want riffage. Tad as well are well worth a look.

A couple of Nirvana solos (Blew, Serve the Servants) prove to me at least that the idea that Kurt couldn't play guitar is utter bollocks. Sure he wasn't the most technical player, but he had a sense of melody that most shredders lack.

Just out of interest, what amps will be there for us to have some fun with?
