Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
You chaps could of course PM Tod/ Polar Bear, he'd probably be happy to do free shipping. Yes, but I was aware that MP didn't have stock yet, this is a brand new product only released last week I think. And, while I'm hoping to steer well clear of the international/local pricing debate, these are c...

Re: Anyone know where to get pickups repaired?
But how would it break, there isn't much to a pickup? I reckon the coil must be ok if you are getting some sound, and the same goes for the wiring. That only leaves the magnets. Potentially they could degauss during transport if near some other magnetic field, but would it be enough to seriously eff...

And you're sure it is wired in phase?
EDIT: Oops, I don't think phasing is the issue here unless in the middle position. I had thought these pups might be two coils per pickup but looks like they are just a single-coil?

Re: NBD - Warning, Tele content....
Ok, the B bender is cooler than I had thought. Not that I care much for the tones and use of them in a country song, but the mechanics behind it are intriguing.

How do these actually work? The G and B strings bend, I get that, but how? Also, when do you use it - is this a country music thing?

Re: Where to get pickup magnets?
Yes, they aren't local, but I still reckon mojotone is the go: http://www.mojotone.com/guitar-parts/Alnico-Bar-Magnets Ryan is a dealer I believe. I had thought about getting some of these parts through him at some stage, but got distracted with other stuff, as usual. Maybe the ampshop could stock a...

Re: DIY pedal board
Nice job. I don't think I would've attempted the finger joints without the right gear, but they make it look better than a butt joint. Have you limited yourself to *just* 5 pedals in the future? If so, this might be a good strategy for those amoungst us who battle acute pedal GAS.

Blocking the trem (or putting 5 springs on it and screwing it down) might be a starting point. Assuming it has a trem?Vince wrote:...Try one and then the other?vintage52 wrote: What I've discovered so far is that it won't hold a tuning to save it self so don't know whether to go tuners or bridge.

Re: 18w Build
Bro, this is your first amp build aye? It is looking really tidy! I know from experience that wiring like that takes a lot of careful planning and a couple of photos can't really do justice to the amount of work that has gone in. Big respect. Hope it sounds good.

Re: This should be fun!
I have a collection of cut off resistor/cap/diode legs for just that purpose. In fact, I just have to check the floor under my desk and I'll find another hundred or so The zero ohm resistors do make it look a bit more technical though.
