Re: Grunding problem on pickup install.

Hi guys, thanks heaps for your help. I'm getting close to a solution..... I tried it with the white going to the switch and the black/base going to ground. I got the same problem. BUT.... While I was fiddling with the input jack, I notced that if I touched the input jack to the guitar body, the grou...

Re: Grunding problem on pickup install.

Hi Vorbis, Thanks heaps for your help so far. You mentioned you thought the black wire was hot and that the white/bare wire was an earth. I noticed that where I had the black wire also went to earth, so i figured that I must of had the wires backwards. eg I had the hot going to earth. I just swapped...

Re: Grunding problem on pickup install.

thanks for your response - so do you mean solder the white wire to the switch (same as it was wired with the first pickup) and then solder the 'bare' to a pot?

Grunding problem on pickup install.

Hi guys, I’ve got a fender jagstang and decided to change the pickup to one I had lying around. I installed it ok, and the pickup works on all the switch settings, but I’m getting a grounding problem. I’m getting a strong static noise that disappears when I touch the strings. This is what I used. It...

Re: NA(O)D!!

From what I understand these are the same as the Silver Jubilee. Marshall had some of these amps left after the silver jubilee year, so covered them in normal black tolex, instead of the silver tolex. They later re-issued this amp in a limited run as the 'Slash' signature head. It's a very well rega...

Re: I've got GAS and funds. Help me choose something.

Hi there, I've noticed through the thread that a couple of people have recommended a JCM800 Style amp for you. Have you considered a Marshall Silver Jubilee amp, which is a single channel amp in the same vien as a JCM800. They're the ones with silver tolex and came out in the mid eighties. Marshall ...

Fender Squier Supersonic Wiring Diagram

Hi Guys, I was putting a new input socket in my Fender Squier Supersonic, and accidentially pulled another wire off - and don't know where to put it back. Does anyone know where to find a dirgam so I can re-attach the wires correctly. The guitar has two humbuckers (not coil tappable) a three way swi...

Can I offer you my advice on your poblem with your amp... and i'll also offer it to anyone who has problems with their gear. If you have any problems, take it in to a professional to look at. :D As soon as my amp does anything out of the ordinary, I turn it straight off and take it in to our local t...

Re: ATTN BLACKHEART, VALVE JR AND VOX AC4 OWNERS!

if anyone wants to ask me about the mods - feel free - I had the Bitmo mods in my valve junior. they were a good improvement on the amp. THe mods I had on my amp were the tone control - with a pull knob fat boost, and a 3-Way Voicing/Gain Switch. I've been thinking about getting that triple bypass ...

Re: Anyone got a fuzz factory?

I've got a Fuzz Probe. It has got heaps and heaps and heaps of different sounds. One thing with them is that you've got to write down your settings, because it has got so many possibilities, it is very hard to find your settings again. if you're prepared to muck around with it, there'll be something...
