Re: Jansen bassman 50 (black panel)

Hey Everyone, I'm looking for a Jansen Bassman 50. I've been using a mid 70s American Twin Reverb for a looong time but it's not working out for what I want to do these days. So I'm selling the Twin and am after the Bassman as a replacement (preferably an early model). Is there anywhere in particul...

Broadening my knowledge of the jazz standards. Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise. Loop pedal utilised for the chords. A few bung notes but getting there. Amps are both forum-made (Ryan-built Tweed, Plexi clone assembled by MikeC with cab by BG). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fx3b8jgTZgg Needs moar ...

Re: Guitar food groups and must try guitar sounds

Jaguar mid position lead voice thru a 6g16 reverb tank into a fender blackface (or transitional brownface ala Bassman 6g6b) with some palm mute for plocky drippy nirvana Yeah, this is basically my dream set up. Got the jag and reverb tank but where and how does one aquire something approximating a ...

In a highly technical discussion among experts about the technical function of an electrical circuit, this has to be the most useful contribution I've ever seen.

Re: NAD: 65 Jansen 6/sixteen

Kinda cool little piece of kiwi amp history. Ive had a couple of jansen heads before and theyv'e never stuck. Kinda gave up on the idea of Jansen as a usable amp. Then i tried bruces and Jeans (clone). Since then ive kept an eye out for a nice low watt combo. This is a 2x el84 driven 1x12 combo. It...

Textured.
It's the Gibson certificate of authenticity. The Chinese can't copy it.
Maybe if the USA took a page out of China's labour laws we might get some damn QC from Gibson.
But how would you tell them from Eastmans?

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?

I've become a total Greco Geek! This one is an absolute darling! She's been around the block a few times, which just adds to the mojo. Plays like butter, as all Greco's seem to, and I think she is mostly intact, though I will look under the hood later this week and see if the pickup's are the origi...

Glad it made it OK. I always worry but NZ Couriers seem to do a good job. They're certainly fast; next day delivery.

Re: Survey: PLEASE RE-VOTE How many effects pedals do you own?

The grid is AC (alternating current), it goes pos/neg/pos/neg... 50 times a second. Maybe an AC50 would help? I bow to your vastly superior knowlege sir. Just trying to one-up your clever quip of which you have many :) I'm not clever. I can't build awesome amps. And to prove my point, second...
