2 guitars , 1 amp

If you have only one amplifier to be shared by two guitarist, can something like this plug/socket work? Would it spoil the amplifier or the guitars?

E-shape moving over the fretboard - not barred

Hi,
Starting at 1:32 of the video, he explained that by moving the E-shape to the 6th fret and that becomes A chord. Don't we have to barre the fifth fret for this to be an A?

Multiple ways to play a chord - which?

Many chords have multiple ways to form. So when you look at a song book and you see for eg A7, how do you decide which of the A7 to use? They don't sound the same.

Kmart 9V batteries good enough?

Saw these 9V Performer brand batteries selling $6 for 6 pack. Energizers would cost about 7 times more. Anybody tried these in their pedals and stuff before?

Jaycar guitar kits

I'm surprised that Jaycar sells guitar electronics kits. Strangely, instructions have to be purchased separately. Shouldn't instructions be part of a kit? http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productResults.asp?keywords=guitar+kit&keyform=KEYWORD&SUBMIT.x=29&SUBMIT.y=7 Wonder if this is something lik...

What humidity best for electric guitar

What is a good humidity for electric guitars? In Auckland, the humidity is between 75% - 85% most times and sometimes higher than 90%. Is this going to be a problem?

Wood vs electronics

I came across a passage about the history of the electric guitar. It seems that electric guitars use solid bodies to prevent the body from vibrating as a result of loud volume from the speakers. Given this is the case, would the tonal quality of the electric guitars be affected more by the electroni...
