Re: Amp/Pedals Suggestions
How about getting one of Blackstar's HT-series stompboxes? Fair chance you haven't heard of or thought of that one :D I own a HT-DRIVE, and I love it (apart from the fact that it needs a new tube and uses a weird 22v adapter). It won't get you that EL34 tone though, only a cranked EL34 power stage c...

Re: Amp/Pedals Suggestions
Is the HT-20 loud enough to gig with? Depends on the cab. Let's say you had Greenbacks (98dB/W) loaded in a 4x12 stack, and you kept the power stage clean. In this case you'd get about 112dB if you stood five meters away from the stack, which is roughly the equivalent of hammering away as hard as y...

Re: Wah advice
Crybaby's now only $169 at Rockshop...... ...just sayin' Hey, Hamo musta' bought one. I recommend the 535Q (wish I still had a guitar to plug into mine), but I don't think it's a true bypass. EDIT: Apparently it is. EDIT 2: Apparently it's "hardware bypass". No idea what that's supposed t...

Re: Fender Blacktop series
I tried out the Blacktop Jaguar, and it played quite nicely. Was GASing over it, almost pulled the trigger until I found out that the Special Edition Jaguar HH existed, now I GAS over that. ...there's plenty of cool stuff coming from Mexico, more so than the US I think... I'm pretty sure that Fender...

Last time I checked, Firebirds weren't FendersDaza152 wrote:Now Vince me old mate what Fender do you think Daza should buy? Cheers

Get a Jazzmaster or an HB Jaguar. Purely recommended because I like them, and I have no idea whether they'll make good blues guitars or not.

Re: Tele or Strat??
Just cut to the chase and get a Les Paul. Save yourself years of farking around. Better still, buy Unique's Firebird. Better yet, just buy Unique. This option has been discussed many times and seems to be the best way to get awesome gear fast. I'm sure someone would have done it years ago if someon...

Re: reverb from my vibrato springs AARRRGGGGHH!!!
Five easy steps: Remove trem cover. Remove trem springs. Insert piece of foam. Replace trem springs. Replace trem cover.
Personally I'd put two more springs in to get more reverb, but that's just me.

Re: My 365 bass riffs in 365 days project
No, no, the question is "How many will actually sound good?"
It's far easier with guitar, I just need to randomly pick 365 songs with electric guitars, and I pretty much have 365 different riffs.
