Re: seven string setup on a six string
For the sake of the thread, I did realise me and Andy were playing a gig together that night...afterwards. Award for dumbest question of the year?

Capital Punishment Wgtn Metal Fest
Should have done this ages ago, but tonight at Medusa, 12 bands including Backyard Burial. It's already started! BYB is on at 12, can also see Bulletbelt, Aftermath, Crashscan, Intergracia, Fire, Mark of Man, and more, 10 bucks on the door. Medusa is at 154 Vivian, opposite the old Liks (RIP).

Re: JVM for lowtuned grindy stuff?
I have a triple recto, might try scam one from the Dauntless again and give it a shot, I tried an 808 which everyone seems to love but that sucked in the recto, just cut all the bass out.

Re: JVM for lowtuned grindy stuff?
I gotta try one of those BBE's, have heard very mixed reviews, apparently they don't do jack unless they are in the FX loop...maybe I should try this with my mesa before I ditch it?

Re: JVM for lowtuned grindy stuff?
yeah and heaps of switches, its got a programmable footswitch which would really come in handy for all the subtle nuances in tone that Backyard Burial use lol (what was I thinking)!! Captainx, it looked like behemoth were cranking mesa full stacks on some fb pics I saw...any of that stuff yours or d...

Re: JVM for lowtuned grindy stuff?
I think I will go try it, I just know that they know Im a TM whore and that I have no intention of buying a new amp from them. As long as they let me crank it with my gat that would be great...in the meantime there's an Uberschall up in Ak, pricey as hell but you only live once, its just a matter of...

I get your guys point now...but that has never bothered me. I guess its pretty plain that Floyds are cool for some stuff, not for others...but mostly cool haha.

JVM for lowtuned grindy stuff?
Hi, just wondered if any of you bogans out there have had a chance to crank one of these? I'd be comparing it to a triple recto and a SL-x 900 head, I want gain and clarity, and while versatility is all good it's not the be all and end all for me. Ill be playing Ibby sevens with various hi-output pu...
