Re: Guitar Racks?

Be interested to see what u end up with. I've been looking for a stable one that can hold at least 5 (including an acoustic) that is a) stable b) small as possible foot print c) doesn't require guitars to be at an angle, ideally upright. C - is pretty important so many dings, scratches, paint coming...

Re: A Super Slash-Ed NGD

Awesome looking guitar. Love the finish, and how you can easily see the grain of wood through the finish (second picture). What's your rig you play it through, would love to hear how it sounds. I've read that any new guitar Slash gets, he has his tech sand down the gloss finish somewhat to thin it o...

Re: New G'n'R

Lol but jokes aside, I've heard that this is a reworked offcut from Chinese Democracy, which makes sense when you listen to it. Also, Axl's voice (which was in fine form a few years ago I thought) seems to have gone a bit off, he's lost the grit somehow. I've never liked when GNR in any form leaned...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

New pedal additions: Red Witch Binary Star and another Strymon Flint. The Binary Star is a bit of a finicky pedal tbh. I can get some excellent slap back echoes going and it does the washy analog delay thing extremely well. But as soon as you move the Depth (modulation) up from nothing it gets supe...

Re: Marcus King

He was due to play at the Powerstation, but Covid19 got in the way of the fun. I'd been looking forward to it for ages too. They're now targeting April next year to play there. Great singer, fantastic guitarist, and seems like a down to earth dude too.

Re: Cigar Box Guitarsey Thing Sighting

CBGs are great fun. I've built one myself, but no pickup. Will try get a photo. Hope to do another one soon, and electrify it.... or just buy one and tweak it.

Making diddlybows with a PUP is also fun.

Re: Sound City

Yup. It's real good. Especially once you start getting to recording footage. Can someone answer this; When they are all in the studio recording, all members have headphones on, yet all are playing live through their mic'd up equipment. What are they listening to through the headphones? (this has alw...

Re: Blues Junior - 'Damascus moment'

Whens your next gig using it in Wellington, I'm 100% there. I dig these amps and have one myself, they (to me) sound best with old american guitars like your Harmony. Ive got a 50s Kay semi acostic and a H47, they both sound darn near perfect through this thing - just the tone i go for.

Fully aware that it might be buried in the previous 6 pages, BUT its sociable to ask and spark an interwebz conversation around this.

You should gig this stuff imo. :) great work You did all this in your room, alone?...so all instruments yourself?.... whats you basic process/tools for this (bar the mics n' amps you've listed)? .... Wow, read every single post, wasn't expecting this many replies and almost posted into the 'post that dont need a whole thread'. So its a matter of taste, and being comfortable, whilst not blasting the bejesus out of those folk that have come to hear you? Most of the venues I've seen here (wellingto...
