Amp levels at gigs (pub size)

I'm curious folk, .... what levels do you reach with your amps for pub/club gigs when the amps are all mic'd up and coming out the PA? I see plenty of folk with some powerful amps playing in bars and am familiar with some of the amps that I know they would shake peoples bones if cranked. So I'm curi...

Re: Index of NZ Guitar/Pedal/Amp builders *ON TOPIC*

Anyone know if there is anyone in Wellington who can fix and clean up pedals? ... will Weta Guitars do this? (i know they do amps). Got an old pedal I use heaps, but its seen better days and needs a one over. Cheers!

Re: Cigar Box Guitar

CBG's are awesome, very rootsy and great for dirty blues and country blues. I've got one, and looking to construct another.

Re: Blues deluxe reissue!!

Its a great amp, but FYI it is f'n loud. I used to own one and it would drown out the marshal stacks in the jams with ease, would be hard to get it to a sweet break up point without deafening everyone but a clean boost would help heaps in this regard. I regret selling it it (also the tweed is just a...

Re: A bridge too far?

Subtle Relicing is fine imo, or its it capturing an old signature model of an artist. This is a bit too much though, and a crazy price too. Personally, I'd love to be able to 'something' to any brand new guitars I buy that takes a wee bit of the sheen off, without adding a bunch of fake scratches an...

Re: Fender Blues Junior III or Fender Red Knob Champ 12?

Blues Jr is a great little amp, and loud too. Very practical, and can be used to jam and gig with imo (small gig). If you don't want to do that, then it makes a great practice amp as well. My only complaint is the reverb on it is not the best and it can sound boxy due to being so small. BUT despite ...

Good read, thanks. One of my favourite musicians & gat players.

Anyone know who the band that he mentions are?.. Invincibles? ... tried searching them, but had no luck. Google tells me there is a porn with the same name though o_O

I liked the lead throughout, and the tone too. Vibe/groove/feel of the whole track is cool. You ever update this since the original post?
