Lovely.
If any of you out there have R9s that you want to sell, please run them by me. I have been looking on and off for 'the one' for a couple of years.

Mesa Electra Dyne footswitch
I was running my electra dyne for only the second time today. The electra dyne footswitch has two buttons: lh clean and vintage low; rh vintage low to vintage high. Today our drummer stood on them all in short succession. I don't think he broke anything. But now I can't get vintage high with the foo...

Re: Tell me about dyes, stains and korina...
Doing a hand dyed poor man's burst is very tricky. I have done it, but it took a lot of repeat work to get right. If you want the burst, try this technique. First grain fill. Twice. Then sand to 320 - 400. Start with three layers of clear nitro. Tint some nitro with a spirit based dye of your choice...

Re: Def Leppard/Heart, Vector Arena
Some Bozo, you are onto something there. I love the Mutt Lange productions on Pyromania and Hysteria, but the first two DL albums are rockier. Some of that must be down to guitarist Pete Willis, who co-wrote their best material up to and including Pyromania. Before the concert last night they played...

Re: Def Leppard/Heart, Vector Arena
I wished they had played High n Dry, perhaps the best song they have ever done.
Enjoy!

Re: Def Leppard/Heart, Vector Arena
44. Not wanting to come over Trinny and Susannah on you all, but Rick Savage’s sartorial choices showed that the man won’t be bullied by popular fashion. He wore a sparkling tee shirt, strange pants and fingerless gloves, which I suspect he borrowed from Madonna’s Like a Virgin video wardrobe. His g...

Def Leppard/Heart, Vector Arena
As promised, Def Leppard delivered the stadium rock last night. The highlights were an acoustic version of Bringing on the Heartache from the 1981 album High’n’Dry, and a superb performance of Photograph from 1983’s Pyromania. What sets them apart from the many other heavy rock bands of their era is...

Re: Last night I got my tight undies on...
Great voice, Tom Petty like the man said.
I liked the backing guitar - it rocked. All of it rocked. Inspiring.
As for the song itself, marvelous, but I have always thought that the JBJ key change sounds a bit clunky.

Re: Amp feedback problem
Ryan diagnosed the problem. I plugged in my homemade guitar with GFS pickups. Cue huge interference and massive feedback. Ryan plugged in his Gibson LP and the amp sounded normal. We blamed the GFSs. Cheap Chinese rubbish, must solder in the spare Seymour Duncans. I was also secretly worried it coul...

Re: Amp feedback problem
Perhaps the clean channel buzz is interference. But the feedback issue happens at at least one other location and doesn't seem like interference.

Amp feedback problem
My amp makes a lot of noise and has uncontrollable feedback, and I would like some help diagnosing the problem. I have a mesa maverick 1 x 12 dual rectifier combo. On the clean channel, there is a constant loud high pitched whine. It doesn't matter whether the lead and/or guitar is plugged in. The d...
