Re: brootalz 1 watt
Still waiting for the Fryette GP/DI to be released. It can be used as a 1 watt head for home but it's also possible to hook it up to a bigger power amp for rehearsal/gigs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZmz2nOzFJg THIS. Seems like it's finally coming out. I was one of the first 5 people that've pu...

Re: Martin Acoustics
I have a performing artist series cutaway dread. In terms of playability it's fantastic, though the neck is very wide, which takes some getting used to. Very good plugged live sound too. The tuner is a bit of a blunt instrument though. More of an excellent working tool than a tone-fancier's piece -t...

Re: Denmark St: Got anything in purple velour?
Supposed to be 57 classic neck and 57 classic plus bridge. Original run was uncovered so either covers were added or they are non-stock. Will look when I do the first string change. They sound PAF-ish to me.Bg wrote:oh and what pups are in the LP? Looks sweet

Re: Denmark St: Got anything in purple velour?
Thanks for the pics. Interesting stuff. Wasn't Shaftsbury Avenue another one full of guitar shops? Not being a Southern Softie I never ventured further south than Birmingham so am not sure. I used to go to Electro in Doncaster. Proper Naaaaarthen guitar shop tha knows. Shaftesbury Avenue is full of...

Re: Denmark St: Got anything in purple velour?
Cheers for the photos. What was the stand-out for that '07 Les Paul that meant you had to get it? Been looking for a player-grade lightweight Les Paul with a fat neck for a while, and struck out on my Paris and Chicago trips. The shops in Denmark St had three, including a chambered R8 and a 2007 st...

Re: Denmark St: Got anything in purple velour?
I loved that street and Vintage and Rare when I used to live there. That was pretty much my weekly weekend pilgrimage. I'd heard it was in bad shape but still plenty of nice stuff and the shops are cool. Still lots of independents. Prices were ok, too. London is a bit annoying for new gear as a lot...

Denmark St: Got anything in purple velour?
Hi all, Was over in England for a bit of this: http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/Hot_grits/10264140_10154000785396738_6919331084591001077_o.jpg ...and managed to get to a few shops. Denmark street was pretty cool, apparently not what it once was but still plenty of decent shops with good secon...

Re: My guitars arrived!!!
Get one of those new Montreal Premiere's with the artwork painted on them. A bit loud but pretty badass! Montreal Premiere is actually EXACTLY the guitar on my hit list. Not one of the artwork ones though. No WAY I could afford that right now. I'm thinking Cherry Red with a Bigsby... http://www.the...

Re: This just in: Marshall does something cool! Astoria.
Not in love with the look. And I'm pretty open to boutique wankery. It's probably a nice amp. And it's not like marshall can't make a nice amp, though sadly they have been the exception rather than the rule for pretty much 30 years. If I was Marshall I'd be pulling apart a Dirty Shirley and HBE and ...

And honestly we're at the point where this stuff gets so good and useful that there aren't many good reasons not to own one. . You're dead to me. Relax, cupcake. I still don't own one. I have no real need. But I probably will cave at some point. Kemper appeals, with the ability to get profiles of a...

Love the interface.
And honestly we're at the point where this stuff gets so good and useful that there aren't many good reasons not to own one.
Despite this it's difficult for me to get lathered about a Helix when AX-8 is coming at USD $1399.

Re: Show us your pedalboard
That whole thing is sick as... how's the Scarab? I'm tonebender obsessed at the moment and I like what I've heard of those. I can't imagine subbing out an H9! Does the M5 holds its own against it? The scarab is great. Really versatile. Can go from almost sounding like a dist pedal to total fat fart...
